幹細胞の基礎知識
iPS細胞の登場による、爆発的な進展
2006年にiPS細胞が報告されたことで、転写因子を複数組み合わせた”転写因子カクテル”による細胞の運命転換研究が一気に加熱しました。2008年には、膵臓の外分泌細胞からインスリン産生細胞2）や、線維芽細胞からマクロファージ様細胞3）を誘導する転写因子カクテルが報告され、2010年には神経細胞4）,5）や心筋細胞6）などが線維芽細胞から誘導できるようになりました。
